Registering as an artist gives you access to several exclusive features:

  • Create a professional artist profile visible to the community
  • Upload and showcase your music
  • Appear in artist rankings and gain exposure
  • Receive collaboration opportunities with other artists
  • Get analytics on your streams and followers
  • Participate in artist-only events and workshops

How do I upload my music?

How are the artist rankings calculated?

Our rankings are based on several factors, including:

  • Total number of streams across all your songs
  • Number of followers
  • Engagement rates (likes, comments, shares)
  • Recent activity and growth trends

Rankings are updated weekly, giving all artists a fair chance to climb the charts based on their recent performance.

Can I update or change my artist profile information?

Yes! You can update your artist profile anytime by going to your profile and clicking on "Edit Profile." You can change your stage name, genre, location, university, bio, profile picture, and social media links.

Collaborations

How do collaborations work on Konnectti?

Collaborations on Konnectti allow artists to work together on music projects. To initiate a collaboration, visit another artist's profile and click on "Initiate Collaboration." The artist will receive a notification and can either accept or decline your request. If accepted, both artists can communicate through our platform and upload collaborative songs.

What is the match score in collaboration suggestions?

The match score is our AI-driven compatibility rating that predicts how well two artists might work together. It's calculated based on:

  • Musical genre compatibility
  • Artistic style and themes
  • Previous collaboration patterns
  • Audience overlap
  • Technical compatibility (vocal range, production style, etc.)

A higher score suggests greater potential for a successful collaboration, but remember, some of the most innovative music comes from unexpected pairings!

How do I upload a collaborative song?

After a collaboration has been accepted, either artist can upload a collaborative song. Go to the Collaborations page, find the active collaboration, and click on "Create Collaborative Song." Fill in the song details and upload the audio file. Both artists will be credited, and the song will appear on both artists' profiles.

Is there a limit to how many collaborations I can initiate?

Currently, there's no strict limit on the number of collaboration requests you can send. However, we encourage quality over quantity. Focus on meaningful collaborations where both artists can contribute significantly to create something special.

What happens if I decline a collaboration request?

If you decline a collaboration request, the initiating artist will be notified that you've declined. Don't worry about hurting feelings—the specific reason for declining isn't shared. You can always reconsider and initiate a collaboration with that artist in the future if you change your mind.
